Feature Request: Add Apple Shortcuts Support for Triggering App Blocks #47

Description

@JayanthJaga

As discussed over email, it would be useful to add support for triggering app blocks through Apple Shortcuts.

The idea is that an existing scheduled block/list of apps should also be triggerable manually through a Shortcut, in addition to its normal fixed schedule.

For example, suppose I have a scheduled block called “Limit usage morning” that normally runs from 8:40 PM to 8:45 AM. On days when my schedule changes, I may need to start that block at 12:00 PM. Instead of changing the schedule, I should be able to trigger the same block through an Apple Shortcut.

Proposed behavior

  • Allow existing app blocks/lists to be triggered (blocked) through Apple Shortcuts.
  • The scheduled block should continue working normally according to its existing schedule.
  • Shortcuts would provide an additional way to start a block on demand.
  • There should not be a Shortcut action for unblocking, since that could potentially allow users to bypass their configured restrictions.

This would make scheduled blocks much more flexible while still preserving the effectiveness of the blocking system.
