Prepare 0.8.2 with the committed-rename review fix, symlink and literal-path patch-audit fixes, and eligible tooling updates. Preserve all four existing changelog bullets verbatim, add a one-line highlight, date the release, and open an empty 0.8.3 Unreleased section. The release workflow now uses that changelog section as its complete GitHub release body; verification metadata stays in the release report.
Validation on AWS Crabbox: frozen install, typecheck, lint, format check, 964 tests passed (2 skipped), build, package install smoke with 13 mapped features, and npm package dry run. Independent Codex autoreview found no actionable P0–P2 findings. The preceding dependency merge passed main CI. This PR does not tag or publish; the existing signed-tag/trusted-publishing workflow runs after exact-head PR and default-branch checks pass.
