Report attributes declared through a ref as qualified - #66
Conversation
A ref points to a global attribute declaration, and global attribute declarations are always qualified with the target namespace of the schema that declares them. The form and attributeFormDefault rules only apply to local declarations.
The xml prefix is bound by the XML namespaces spec and never declared in a WSDL. Attributes such as xml:lang now resolve to that namespace, so consumers can write them with the xml prefix instead of declaring the XML namespace themselves.

- Line 23: Update the qualification logic in AttributeSingleConfigurator so an
AttributeRef is qualified only when its declaring schema has a target namespace;
preserve the existing qualification behavior for non-reference types. Add a test
case confirming that references to global attributes in a schema without a
target namespace remain unqualified.

Attributes declared through
refwere reported as unqualified in the metadata. A ref always points to a global attribute declaration, and global attribute declarations are qualified with the target namespace of the schema that declares them, soxml:lang, a global attribute from an imported schema and a global attribute from the same schema all belong in a namespace. The xsd-reader fills the qualification of a ref from theformandattributeFormDefaultrules, which only apply to local declarations. For a ref to a global attribute in the same schema that made it impossible to tell apart from a local unqualified attribute.I now mark every
AttributeRefas qualified inAttributeSingleConfigurator, which is where the attribute meta gets its qualification. Local attributes keep followingformandattributeFormDefault. Refs inside attribute groups, nested attribute groups and complex or simple content extensions and restrictions go through the same configurator, so they are covered by the same change.php-soap/encoding writes an attribute with the target namespace prefix when it is qualified, so after this change it writes
o:flagandtns:globinstead of the bare names. Its Schema038 compatibility test expects the unprefixed form that ext-soap produces and will need its expectation updated. Thexmlprefix is never declared in a WSDL, so it was missing from the known namespaces andxml:langhad no prefix to write. The namespaces now always includexmlbound tohttp://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace, and with both changes encoding writesxml:lang="nl"as valid XML.Summary by CodeRabbit
xmlnamespace is now available during namespace parsing even when it is not explicitly declared, while explicit declarations continue to work.
