cluster: probe Grafana over HTTPS when server.protocol is https - #2747
tiup cluster display shows Grafana as Down when it serves HTTPS (server.protocol: https in grafana_servers[].config or server_configs.grafana): the status probe always uses plain HTTP and gets a 400.
What is changed and how it works?
The status and uptime probes of Grafana take the scheme from server.protocol: https and h2 mean TLS, anything else stays plain HTTP. The value is resolved the same way as grafana.ini is generated, the instance config overrides server_configs.grafana.
Over TLS the probes skip certificate verification. TiUP does not set up TLS for Grafana, so its certificate is not issued by the cluster CA and may not name the manage host the probe connects to. The probes send no credentials, the same as the plain HTTP probe.
The uptime probe no longer uses the cluster TLS config. Grafana does not use the cluster certificates, so on clusters with enable_tls it probed a plain HTTP Grafana over HTTPS and showed no uptime.
GrafanaSpec.mergedConfig builds the merged config for both InitConfig and the probes. InitConfig used to maps.Copy the instance config into the map returned by GetGrafanaConfig(), which is the shared server_configs.grafana, so the settings of one Grafana could leak into the grafana.ini of the next one.
Not changed here: the "Grafana URL" line of display still prints http://, InstInfo has no access to the spec. Can follow separately.

Unit test
TestGrafanaProbeProtocol runs the status and uptime probes against HTTP and HTTPS test servers; 4 of its 7 cases fail without the fix. TestGrafanaMergedConfig covers the merge and checks that the global map is not modified. TestGrafanaInitConfigInstanceOverride runs InitConfig for two Grafana instances and checks that the server.protocol of the first one does not end up in the grafana.ini of the second one; it fails with the old merge.

Grafana configuration generation merges global and instance settings without modifying the global map. Status and uptime probes derive TLS settings from the merged server.protocol. Tests cover configuration precedence and probe results.
GrafanaSpec.mergedConfig copies global settings and applies instance settings as overrides. Config generation uses the merged settings. Tests check precedence, inheritance, and preservation of the global map.
Select probe TLS by protocol pkg/cluster/spec/grafana.go, pkg/cluster/spec/grafana_test.go
Status and uptime probes use TLS when the merged server.protocol is https or h2. Tests cover HTTP and HTTPS probe cases and their status and uptime results.
The change appears mergeable, but an InitConfig test would better protect generated Grafana settings against regressions.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Directly linked issue #2746 requires Grafana with server.protocol: https to show as Up in tiup cluster display. The /login status probe must use HTTPS. Evidence at the reviewed head (pkg/cluster/spec/grafana.go): GrafanaComponent.Instances() now passes c.probeTLSConfig(s) to both StatusFn (statusByHost(..., "/login", ...)) and UptimeFn (UptimeByHost(...)). probeTLSConfig resolves server.protocol from s.mergedConfig(c.GetGrafanaConfig()). For https or h2 it returns &tls.Config{InsecureSkipVerify: true}. Otherwise it returns nil. In pkg/cluster/spec/util.go, statusByHost and UptimeByHost select the https scheme when the TLS config is non-nil. This meets the issue's requirement. The issue also allows a liveness probe without verification, which is the chosen approach. The uptime probe no longer uses the cluster TLS config, which fixes the enable_tls case described in the issue. TestGrafanaProbeProtocol covers HTTP and HTTPS servers, instance and server-level protocol settings, h2, override precedence, and cluster TLS. The unchanged http:// display URL is not a requirement of the issue. Limitation: the incremental diff from the previous reviewed head could not be read. This verdict rests on the current head file content and the PR summary. The test file was also truncated, so the test body was checked through the PR summary and the visible test table only.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes stay in the Grafana probe and config path. probeTLSConfig and GrafanaSpec.mergedConfig (pkg/cluster/spec/grafana.go) provide the protocol resolution required by #2746. InitConfig now calls spec.mergedConfig(i.topo.GetGrafanaConfig()) instead of copying instance settings into the shared server_configs.grafana map. That copy would leak one instance's server.protocol into the probe resolution and grafana.ini of other instances. The fix is therefore connected to the required protocol logic. The added tests in pkg/cluster/spec/grafana_test.go (TestGrafanaProbeProtocol, TestGrafanaMergedConfig) verify this behavior. The PR does not change the display URL line, and the author states that this is deferred. No unrelated change is identified in the inspected content. Limitation: the incremental diff since the previous reviewed head could not be read, so changes in that interval were assessed only through the current file content.

Explanation
Docstring coverage is 100.00% which is sufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 2 functions across 2 files.

Add an InitConfig integration assertion for merged Grafana settings.
The existing InitConfig tests use empty Grafana configuration and assert datasource or dashboard files. They do not inspect conf/grafana.ini. A regression that ignores instance overrides or mutates the shared server_configs.grafana map can therefore pass those tests. Keep TestGrafanaMergedConfig for the helper, and add an InitConfig case with conflicting global and instance settings that checks the generated configuration and the original global map.

The status probe of Grafana always used plain HTTP, so a Grafana with
server.protocol set to https or h2 was displayed as Down. The uptime
probe used the cluster TLS config instead, although Grafana does not use
the cluster certificates, so it failed on clusters with enable_tls.
Both probes now take the scheme from server.protocol, resolved the same
way as grafana.ini is generated, and skip certificate verification as
they only check that Grafana answers.
Building the merged config also no longer writes instance settings into
the shared server_configs.grafana map.
