Summary

• Upgrade .nvmrc and all CI workflows to Node 24; explicitly install Corepack because Node 24 no longer bundles it.
• Upgrade @dimforge/rapier3d-compat from 0.19.2 to 0.21.0 and update the Yarn lockfile.
• Replace removed deep type imports with public exports and retain minIslandSize as a deprecated, ignored prop.
• Refresh physics snapshots for the new engine numerical results and add collision-manifold regression coverage.
• Add a minor-release changeset for @react-three/rapier containing detailed CCD, solver, contact, import-path, and snapshot migration guidance.
• Fix JSDoc formatting in Physics.tsx and types.ts.

Compatibility notes

• Preserve existing wrapper contact-distance defaults.
• Fast dynamic bodies now use CCD against fixed colliders automatically; set maxCcdSubsteps={0} to disable CCD entirely.
• Snapshots from older Rapier versions must be recreated after upgrading.
• Existing scenes may need retuning due to upstream physics behavior changes.
• React soft-body components and deformable-mesh synchronization are outside this upgrade scope.

Validation

• Validated under Node 24.21.0.
• Workspace validation and TypeScript checks pass.
• All 38 tests pass.
• Library and demo production builds pass.
• Prettier checks pass, including the changeset; previous JSDoc formatting warnings are resolved.
• Changeset status confirms a minor bump for @react-three/rapier.
• git diff --check passes.
