There are tools that allow developers to produce license reports automatically from properties in the manifests and POM files. This makes it much easier to find the project give the jar file because project URLs can be included with the Jar file and POM files. Currently there exists another library for java that is called multiverse. When you google for multiverse this project doesn't occur on the front page. It's actually quite hard to find this project.
Just some small minor edits to the POM and build manifest will correct this.
