Keep merge-artifacts inputs at default retention so subsequent attempts combine successful cells from earlier attempts with the newest rerun cells. Preserve continue-on-error for genuinely absent artifact kinds; leave merge-lkg and package publishing unchanged. Verified with throwaway run 39297949510 attempts 1 and 2: retained pattern and merge selected a1+b2; deleted inputs produced only b2. By-name downloads selected the newest merged artifact. Remove the throwaway workflow from the final change. Per-cell uploads retain the default retention;continue-on-error: true,merge-lkg, package publishing, and workflow triggers are unchanged. The throwaway workflow is removed; the branch contains one signed-off fix commit.Evidence: run 39297949510, attempts 1 and 2 (
--failed); attempt 2 passed. Pattern download and merge selected cell a/attempt 1 (12209657678) plus cell b/attempt 2 (12228174755), excluding old b (12207474016). By-name download selected new completecombined-kept(12228269859), not old12213779733. The deletion control instead produced only b/attempt 2, and by-name selected new partialcombined-deleted(12229165485) over old complete12214714377. Assertions checked filenames, contents, and absence of stale files. This confirms newest-per-name selection across attempts for all three surfaces.Local validation: YAML parsing, semantic comparison confirming only the intended boolean changes, and whitespace checks.
