Summary

Context

Migration of the remaining core dev server endpoints from @react-native-community/cli-server-api into core (community-cli-plugin).

See https://github.com/react/react-native/stack/59664.

This diff

Clean up intended to pair with react/react-native#59661, react/react-native#59662 and react/react-native#59663, migrating these endpoints into core. Must land in the same React Native version, and is breaking on the CLI side.

  • Remove the cross-origin check, compression and nocache.
  • Remove the /status and /reload routes, and the /message and /events WebSockets.
  • createDevServerMiddleware returns only middleware.

Test Plan

yarn build
yarn lint

✅ Clean; the one lint warning is in a file this change does not touch. No tests remain in cli-server-api.

End to end with this change and the React Native stack: see the test plans of react/react-native#59661, react/react-native#59662 and react/react-native#59663, run against RNTester's Metro.

Checklist

  • Documentation is up to date.
  • Follows commit message convention described in CONTRIBUTING.md.
  • For functional changes, my test plan has linked these CLI changes into a local react-native checkout (instructions).
