Investigated the test failures. jsdom 30.1.1 introduces *one test bug. Our component code is fine in both cases.

1. ContractorOnboarding UK/IR35 upload: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading '_buffer') (1 test)

vitest's jsdom environment converts jsdom Blob/FormData request bodies to Node ones by reading jsdom's hidden Symbol(impl) property. jsdom 30.1.0 moved that data to a private #impl field, so blob[implSymbol]._buffer throws. The /v1/documents upload request is never built, and uploadSpy is never called.

This is a known upstream bug: vitest-dev/vitest#11336. The issue is now closed: the fix (vitest-dev/vitest#11379, "support Blob on jsdom 30.1") was merged to main on 2026-09-28, but it is not released yet. The latest release is 5.0.2 (2026-09-25), which predates the fix. I confirmed 5.0.2 still fails this test against jsdom 30.1.1. A v4 backport is open (vitest-dev/vitest#11384). There's no reasonable fix on our side.

Suggestion

Hold this PR until a vitest release that includes vitest#11379 (i.e. after 5.0.2) is out, then bump vitest together with jsdom.
