Hi! I’d like to take ownership of this issue.
I understand the goal is to close the governance gap by adding a clear, versioned contributor onboarding process for TeachLink Backend.
I’ll first review the existing
Governance/structure and related documentation to ensure the newGovernance/processes/ONBOARDING.mdfollows the project’s existing standards and terminology.I’ll document the onboarding steps from a new contributor’s perspective, including the resources they should receive, the responsibilities involved, and who owns the onboarding process. I’ll keep the process clear and practical so that it can serve as a consistent reference for both contributors and maintainers.
If regression coverage is applicable within the existing project structure, I’ll keep it minimal and relevant to the change.
I’ll also make sure the implementation stays within the maximum two-file scope, makes no changes outside the
Governance/folder, and does not affect existing functionality.I’d be happy to take ownership of this issue and contribute the onboarding process.

This is a governance gap: contributors and maintainers lack a clear, versioned reference for this area of governance.
