Modernizes LINQKit to build with only the .NET 10 SDK and target supported frameworks: .NET Framework 4.6.2+, netstandard2.0/2.1, .NET 8 and .NET 10.

  • Frameworks: Core, EF6 and Z.EF.Classic libraries now target net462 plus netstandard2.x, net8.0 and net10.0 where their dependencies allow. EF Core support is limited to EF Core 8, 9 and 10.
  • Removed: the EF Core 1–7 variants, the net35/net40/portable/uap/netstandard1.3 targets, and examples tied to expired frameworks.
  • Tests: all run on net48, net8.0 and net10.0 with current xunit. On net10.0, four tests work around a C# 14 change where array.Contains in expression trees now compiles to the span overload.
  • Versions: minor bump to 1.4.0, 1.3.0, 8.2.0, 9.1.0 and 10.1.0, since frameworks were dropped.
  • Tooling: CI, the solution file and the README are updated, and a new global.json pins the .NET 10 SDK.

…orted frameworks: .NET Framework 4.6.2+, netstandard2.0/2.1, .NET 8 and .NET 10.

@Thorium
When you have reworked all comments, and we are good to go, the release notes need to be updated (can be done with that batch file)

And we need to publish the new NuGets. This can be done the old/existing way, or I can make a new PR to switch to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/nuget/nuget-org/trusted-publishing
I did this for some of my own projects.

OK, you can merge.
Shall I then generate the release notes, make a version and make NuGets?
