Fixes two Ahrefs findings on the same field: "Meta description too short" (
/privacy/,/about/) and "Meta description too long" (/alternatives/,/guides/,/guides/bezel-compensation/,/guides/span-wallpaper-across-two-monitors-mac/). The 404 page, also under 110, is fixed too. Every description is now 110 to 160 characters, and every claim comes from the page itself./privacy//about//404/alternatives//guides//guides/bezel-compensation//guides/span-wallpaper-across-two-monitors-mac/Too short: privacy now says what stays on the Mac and what the app and site do, instead of a list of negations. About now names who builds it, where, why, and that it is free and MIT licensed.
Too long: trimmed without adding claims, keeping each page's main search intent and its strongest specific detail. Only the description line changed on
/alternatives/, not the title.Privacy copy: the opening lead and social description now state facts instead of a list of absences. Lead: "Everything happens on your Mac. The app asks GitHub about updates, and this site is static, served by Cloudflare, with its typeface from Google Fonts." Social: "Your wallpapers are rendered on your Mac, to your own disk. The app contacts GitHub once, to check for updates. The shortest privacy policy you will read today." The policy body is unchanged.

og:descriptionandtwitter:descriptionstill come from the separatesocialDescriptionprop, which is deliberately different copy (only the privacy one was reworded, above). The JSON-LD descriptions are site-wide and do not repeat any page's meta description.Verified: built every page and measured the
