Broadens the spanning guide from two monitors to any number, and corrects what it said about macOS.
The page moves to
/guides/span-wallpaper-across-multiple-monitors-mac/.public/_redirectssends the old URL, with and without the trailing slash, to the new one with a 301 in one hop. Both forms are listed because redirects run beforeauto-trailing-slash. The guides index, bezel guide and 404 now point at the new URL and section ids.The title and H1 are "How to span a wallpaper across multiple monitors on a Mac" (57 characters, no site suffix; pages pass their full title, so no layout change was needed). The meta description is 154 characters, with a matching social description.
Sections: how macOS handles wallpaper, what you need before you start, spanning with SpreadPaper, two or more monitors with portrait and mixed sizes (five short H3s), getting the join right across the bezels, doing it by hand, fixing a soft image or a step at the seam, and a closing
.see-alsoblock.The macOS fact is corrected: each display takes its own image and macOS runs no single image across them, replacing the claim that every display shows the same image. The sizing rule is now the bounding box of the arrangement in points times the scale of the sharpest display, with a table covering side by side, stacked and mixed setups instead of the summed-width arithmetic. The steps use the
/help/step layout, the first-launch warning detail links to/help/, and a download button follows the steps.Diagrams and screenshots follow in a separate PR.
