Support Modbus RTU over TCP?

This is an old question. Does it currently support Modbus RTU over TCP?

You achieve this by creating a virtual serial port (PTY) and a background thread to pipe data.

• Connect a standard TCP socket to your remote server.
• Create a virtual serial device (PTY) using posix_openpt().
• Run a background thread that continuously reads raw bytes from the TCP socket and writes them to the PTY (and vice versa).
• Pass the virtual serial device's path (e.g., /dev/pts/X) into modbus_new_rtu().
