Why
git-chglog is no longer maintained: the GitHub repository is archived (read-only), the last release is v0.15.4 from 2023-02-15 and the last commit is from 2025-03-28. Replaced by git-cliff, as in treee111/bf-shopping-list-api#31 and treee111/bf-shopping-list-app#51.
What
cliff.tomlreplaces.chglog/(deleted). It keeps the bracket tags ([FEAT]/[FEATURE]→ Features,[FIX]/[BUGFIX]→ Bug Fixes,[DEV],[BREAKING]) and the groups. The header links to the unreleased changes (compare/<latest tag>...HEAD), as before.v4.2.1a1) are ignored, their commits go into the next release.docs/CONTRIBUTING.md: commands nownpx git-cliff@2.10.1 ...(nothing to install).CHANGELOG.mdregenerated with git-cliff. The format is leaner (no<a name>anchors, no bold scope). The very old releases 0.2.0–0.9.0 are no longer listed, their commits had no bracket tags.Test
