New registration endpoint returns error

I am getting the same 500 error when trying to request an API account by registering an account (/v3/Account/Register). Not sure if related to this or if I'm just doing something wrong!

The error is unintentional, it should be returning a relevant message.

Unfortunately, at the same time we've indefinitely turned off new API key requests until we figure out what the future of this API looks like. An ETA for some kind of update is around a month, a more meaningful update would ideally happen before the end of the year.

Hi, just checking in to see if this has been resolved. I’m interested in working on a project that depends on this and wanted to ask if there’s any way I could obtain a key in the meantime or help move things forward.

You should be able to use the Register endpoint to request and receive a key now in the JSON response. There is no verification/confirmation step.

I'll update the documentation when I get more time to reflect this change. It's likely we'll at some point purge these keys, but they should be fine for the intended purpose of learning, experimentation, and trial for now.
