What this changes

The documented security_audit.py /path/to/plugin-dir command rejects every external source directory because it requires the path to sit below this repository's removed plugins/ tree.

Allow explicitly selected source directories and keep the existing manifest and static-code checks. Missing paths and ordinary files still fail. Also report a skipped source audit only when no source directories were selected.

The CLI regression tests use temporary external repositories, cover absolute and relative paths, and verify that authored eval() still produces a blocker. No package, permission policy, or published catalog is changed.

Checks

  • python3 scripts/security_audit.py --check-packages — zero blockers
  • python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -p 'test_*.py' -v — 19 tests passed
  • Generated catalog.json and published packages are unchanged
  • No plugin source tree (plugins/) was added

python3 scripts/sync_catalog.py --dry-run also completed against the live center (52 plugins, 90 packages staged). No repository files were replaced.
