The v1.1.0 tag-triggered workflow failed before signing because the event checkout created a local commit ref for the tag and fetching the actual annotated tag refused to clobber it. Start the prepare job on main instead, then retain the existing tag, main-ancestry, version, exact-commit CI and cryptographic signing checks. All artifact jobs still check out the resolved immutable tag commit. No force fetch, tag rewrite, or gate removal.

Validation: release metadata/link/reference checks and all six release-helper tests pass. The failed v1.1.0 release is also being retried through the already-supported workflow_dispatch entry on main with tag=v1.1.0; no public tag was changed. This workflow-only repair targets dev first and will be promoted to main after required checks.
