- Line 155: Update the manual signing guidance to apply the account-helper and
GPG-agent behavior only to the default OpenPGP format, and narrow the
private-key statement to OpenPGP keys so it does not imply the same setup for
runtime-enrolled SSH keys.

The Runs on picker offered the direct Kubernetes provider, which needs cluster and AWS access on the developer's device, next to the Sandbox manager, which needs only their Buzz key, and new agents defaulted to Kubernetes. Remove the Kubernetes provider from the Remote workspace type: no picker and no provider config box, the relay and manager key are always shown with the enroll form, new agents start on the relay, and every saved config reads as the relay's.
Sandbox commits could not be signed: the image required OpenPGP signatures from a GPG agent forwarded from the developer's machine, which nothing forwards through the relay, so every commit failed, and default branches require signed commits. The profile's git.signing_key fingerprint becomes git.ssh_signing_key, an OpenSSH Ed25519 private key generated at enrollment and registered on the developer's GitHub account as a signing key. The bootstrap writes it to a private file outside checkpoints, and the account helper configures gpg.format ssh with commit and tag signing. The manual OpenPGP path stays. Enrollment also fills in the developer ID from the signing owner's entry when the profile leaves it empty, so developers need not know it.
BUZZ_ACP_FAST_MODE (on/off) is applied like BUZZ_ACP_EFFORT_LEVEL: on each new session, through the running model's fast-mode option, claude-agent- acp's "fast" or codex-acp's "fast-mode", and skipped when the model has none. Transport errors are fatal as for effort; a rejection keeps the adapter's default.
Settings drops the Relay and Manager key fields: every agent asks the build's Sandbox manager on its community. It adds Effort and Fast mode pickers, sent as BUZZ_ACP_EFFORT_LEVEL and BUZZ_ACP_FAST_MODE, explains the Model field per harness, and drops Goose, which the agent image does not have. The enroll form asks only for the GitHub token, Git email (prefilled from git config), via profile, 1Password token and model credentials. Enrolling reads the token's GitHub login and name for the profile, creates an Ed25519 agent signing key with ssh-keygen and registers it on that account, and removes the key again unless the manager stores the profile. The developer ID is left for the manager to fill in.
Remote agents are new, and the relay flow is their only path, so drop what it replaced: - the Codex device-login setup gate: setup.js, its entrypoint branch, profile.py's setup handling, buzz-backend-kubernetes's setup binding and pod UID, and test-setup.py; - OpenPGP commit signing through a forwarded GPG agent (buzz-gpg): Git signs only with the profile's agent SSH key; - the workstation profile.py enroll command and the interactive buzz-agent-account github, via, via-profile and depot helpers; - buzz-backend-kubernetes in the GPUI package, and the remote workspace type key named after it: it is now voltage.remote-workspace/sandbox.
Registering the key with the GitHub token needed Account permissions → SSH signing keys: write on a token that every Sandbox holds, so an agent could add or delete signing keys. Register the key with the developer's local GitHub CLI instead, after the manager stores the profile and after checking gh is signed in to the token's account. When gh cannot, the form shows why, the public key with a Copy key button, and the steps to add it as a Signing Key. The agents' token needs no account permission.
How Remote workspace agents work, with diagrams of the components, the enrollment, and a session; where each credential lives; how an admin onboards a developer and how a developer sets up agents, including the 1Password service account and the agents' signing key; what an agent can reach; and troubleshooting by the message the developer sees.
The merge-base changed after approval.

What
This makes the Remote workspace flow the one way developers run agents in a staging Sandbox. They need only their Buzz key and the accounts they enroll once, and every commit an agent makes is signed and verified. Remote agents are new, with one user so far, so there is no compatibility path: what the relay flow replaced is removed.
