Summary

Folder safeguards now says that a sync running when you delete or move a file never writes that file back, and that a file you move or rename in the folder keeps its item. This matches withmarfa/marfa#2322, which fixes a pull that wrote back a file moved or deleted between its scan and its pull, and adds the contract rules folders/pull-missing-file-not-written and folders/pull-missing-file-moved-keeps-item.

Changes

  • content/docs/guides/folder-safeguards.mdx: one sentence added to the "You delete a file" row, and a new "You move or rename a file in the folder" row.

Testing

  • pnpm exec vitest run src/lib/content-lint.test.ts: 47 passed.
  • Checked the surrounding pages for anything that disagrees: the rename passage in Sync a folder still holds, and no page says a sync writes back a missing file.
  • Not tested: a full pnpm build.

Notes for reviewers

Checklist

  • The title is a scoped Conventional Commit.
  • New behavior has a test that was seen failing first, or no test was needed and the reason is above.
  • Docs, comments and the contract still say what is true after this change.
