Local audio files show broken artwork in the player #394

Closed

Description

@chhoumann

Playing a local audio file shows a broken image in the player artwork area. Playback works and the file is saved in Local Files.

Reproduced in Linux Obsidian 1.13.7, PodNotes 2.21.1, in a fresh isolated vault:

  1. Enable the file explorer core plugin.
  2. Run node .claude/skills/verify/fixtures.mjs audio to create Fixtures/Local Fixture.wav (60 seconds).
  3. Right-click the file and choose Play with PodNotes.
  4. Open the player. The artwork area displays the browser's broken-image icon and Local Fixture alt text.

The player should show a deliberate fallback when a local file has no artwork.

Local file player

Found during OE-ADOPT tooling verification. The runner migration changes no plugin source. Related to #358, which concerns cards in the podcast grid.

    Fixed by #466 (merged as 35461cd). Local files now show a placeholder tile in the player instead of broken artwork, verified live in V-466.
