Adds /terms/, a short terms of use page for the app, the MCP server, the agent plugin and the website, translated into the seven site locales and linked from the footer next to Privacy.
Why now: r/macapps removed our 2.2.1 post under its Rule 8, whose transparency path asks for a website with both a privacy policy and terms of use. We had the first, not the second.
Content: MIT license and no warranty, your content stays yours, third-party services follow their own terms (pointing to the privacy policy), official download channels, French law. Contact is privacy@getopenscreen.com, the only address the site already uses.
Checked: docusaurus build for en and fr succeeds; the page renders and the footer links to it.
Added a Terms of Use page for OpenScreen, available in English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Added a translated Terms link to the website footer. The page outlines applicable services, licensing, warranties, user content responsibilities, third-party services, official download sources, and governing law.

Walkthrough
The website adds a terms-of-use page for OpenScreen and a Community footer link to that page. The terms and footer link label are also provided in seven additional locales.
Changes: Terms page and footer
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Terms page and footer link website/src/pages/terms.mdx, website/src/theme/Footer/index.tsx, website/i18n/code.source.json
The terms page describes OpenScreen’s services, MIT licensing, warranty and liability terms, user content, third-party services, official download sources, updates, and governing law. The Community footer adds a translated Terms link to /terms/.
Localized terms pages and labels website/i18n/*/docusaurus-plugin-content-pages/terms.mdx, website/i18n/*/code.json
German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese terms pages and footer labels are added.
The new terms and translated footer links have bounded text issues: qualify the local-only assurance to reflect optional provider transfers and correct the German quotation mark. These are low-risk corrections rather than a deployment blocker.

Explanation
The title "docs(website): add a terms of use page" matches the main change. The PR adds a /terms/ page for the app, MCP server, agent plugin, and website, plus a footer link and translations. The title is short, specific, and names the scope. It uses a Conventional Commits style prefix, which is acceptable.

Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description covers the core content. It states the purpose (adds /terms/, translated into seven locales, footer link), the reason (r/macapps Rule 8 removal), the page content, the contact address, and the testing done (docusaurus build for en and fr). However, it does not follow the repository template. It has no Summary heading, no Related issue section (the Fixes # line is missing), no Type of change, no Release impact, no Desktop impact, and no Screenshots section. The Testing content is present but is in a prose line, not under the Testing heading.
Resolution
Rewrite the description to follow the repository template. Add these sections: Summary, Related issue (with Fixes #, Refs #, or a note that no issue applies), Type of change (mark Documentation), Release impact (likely No release note needed), Desktop impact (likely Not platform-specific), Screenshots / video (add a footer and page screenshot, or state that none apply), and Testing (move the docusaurus build details under this heading). Keep the Why now and Content details in the Summary section.

Use the closing quotation mark „ “ in the German warranty sentence.

Use the closing quotation mark „ “ in the German warranty sentence.
The German warranty sentence opens with „ (U+201E) and closes with a straight ". German quotation marks use “ (U+201C) as the closing mark, so the pair is inconsistent.

Update the German warranty sentence in the terms content so the quotation opened
with „ closes with the German closing mark “ instead of a straight quotation
mark; leave the rest of the sentence unchanged.

Qualify the local-only statement in "Your content."
The "Your content" section says recordings, projects, and exports "stay on your computer" with no exception. AI features and connected agents can send project data, such as the timeline and transcript, to the provider the user chose. The privacy policy discloses these transfers, and the Third-party services section links to it, but this sentence does not mention them. Add the exception to this sentence in every locale file.
