v0.2.45.0 feat: Cycle 0055 pt1: Codebook: Generate LLM Wiki writes a project's first LLM Wiki through the editor agent - #133
Refs #132 (Cycle 0055, a feature cycle: first of its two pull requests, per Owner decision O6). The second pull request (codex/cycle-0055-pt2) adds the LLM Wiki view in the Activity Bar, the codebookLearning icon and the native trial N55.
Summary
Generate a project's first LLM Wiki from Codebook (proposed change 2, 3, 3b).
Codebook: Generate LLM Wiki (codebook.generateDeepWiki): a run of kind generate inside the existing update lifecycle (O3), not a second pipeline. VS Code hands a generate request (buildWikiGeneratePrompt) to a new Copilot Chat session; Cursor runs cursor-agent with it. 55-minute bound (WIKI_GENERATE_TIMEOUT_MS, O9 from E1's 34 min 33 s).
Start order (utils/startWikiRun.ts): path check, existing Wiki (offers Update, never overwrites), publisher blocks, an existing folder without a Wiki (refused before any agent: the publisher writes a first Wiki only into a folder it makes; E1-F3's root cause), other runs, the modal confirmation (D2, with E1-F2's wording), the path again, the output's parent folder, the publication and Git reads, the blocks and other runs again, the marker claim (runKind: 'generate'), a last look for a Wiki, and only then the managed Cursor skill (Eng 73), for a generation and an update alike.
Bounds by run kind wherever read (utils/wikiRunBoundMs.ts): the marker's expiry and reservation, the unreadable-marker grace (now the longest run, 61 min 30 s), the release timer, the last-run record across a reload and the leftover admission.
The end (classifyWikiUpdateEnd): a new publication receipt, then the owner and entry-page checks (findGeneratedWikiProblem); freshness is reported (changedSourceCount), never gating. A stop names a Wiki as published only for a verified publication. Every ending has its sentence with what was left and the next step (wikiGenerateNotice).
Commands: Codebook: Stop LLM Wiki Run (codebook.cancelWikiRun), Codebook: Show LLM Wiki Output (codebook.showWikiOutput); one allowlisted Output record per end (wikiRunRecord: no agent text, home folder as ~, control characters escaped).
Notices and names: the no-Wiki notices offer Generate LLM Wiki (and name a generation under way); Open DeepWiki in Browser is titled Open LLM Wiki in Browser (id unchanged; skill 1.0.49 for the reader's offline note); the VS Code watch's status bar reads · Stop watching (D4).
Docs:extension/README.md First LLM Wiki quickstart, Generate LLM Wiki section and a troubleshooting section with one anchored entry per sentence; CHANGELOG 0.2.45.0; root README status.
Riding along (owner rule): O10 — AGENTS.md is not re-read from disk after a compaction unless it is out of context or changed (AGENTS.md Mandatory entry 2, .codex/restore-product-context.mjs).
Test Coverage
Step 7 audit: 21 of 21 changed code paths have a test; 18 at ★★ or better (86 %). The audit added 3 tests; Step 8 and the review rounds added the rest (each with a Value: line naming protects / fails_when / no_claim).
Test value: 3 tests written by the coverage audit, 0 rejected, 3 existing test files extended; review fixes added further tests, each red without its fix (pass 1: 4 + 1 regression guard; pass 2: 2; pass 3: 5; Step 11: 9).
Paths weakly covered (★), carried as Issue tasks 11 and 12: a Cursor generation's stop and bound at host level (unit tests and /ship QA probes cover them; the VS Code bound has a host test).
Changed existing tests, with reasons: the D4 status-bar text, the no-Wiki sentence and its two extension.test rejections (now provoked by a missing entry page), the 61 min 30 s grace, the reader CSP hash and skill 1.0.49 (product changes); startWikiRun's order test (the review fixes moved the skill step after the claim and the reads before it); findGeneratedWikiProblem's unreadable case (now the recovery sentence); wikiUpdateFlow "a marker file another window is writing refuses an Update …" now waits for its window's reservation write before it overwrites the marker (a load-dependent race; a forced probe holding that write failed it 3/3 with the lane's exact sentence; assertions unchanged).
Pre-Landing Review
/ship Step 9 ran three fixing cycles and did not converge (converged:false, the cap). Under the owner's rule (2026-10-23), every finding of the last round (Step 9 pass 3 and Step 11) was fixed, Minor and below included; no Critical or Major defect stays open, so none is recorded as a next-cycle Issue. The informational findings passes 1–2 answered Skip (feature-cycle rule) are #132 tasks 10–20.
Pass 1 (7 specialists + red team + core): fixed the untested generate × conflict cell and the Cursor skill readied before the checks (a failed required QA probe); 10 informational skipped.
Pass 2: fixed a regression of pass 1 (a window closing during the Cursor skill step started an unattended agent) and the untested generate × window-closing cell; 8 informational skipped.
Pass 3: fixed 11 findings (stop after publish and link-on-path cells, the VS Code generate bound test, one minutes wording, the agent lookup sentence, a stale doc, the override lead, a generation under way named, reads before the claim, overrides not queued behind another run, a flaky update test).
Step 11 (Claude adversarial, Codex adversarial, Codex structured review: P2 only, gate PASS): fixed an existing folder without a Wiki, Git that cannot be asked, an unreadable manifest after a publication, a stop that called a manifest published, the Stop and Open sentences during a start, a link swapped in during the confirmation, control characters in the record.
Review binding: the reviews do not bind to the final tree (each round's fixes changed it; no fourth cycle is allowed). The exact-HEAD gate below runs on the final tree.
Gate edits: partial (50 of 53 eligible read); the 2 RH-16 hunks (exception handling in extension.ts: a closed Output channel; the Cursor skill's verify → deploy) are justified — no gate finding.
Outside review: Codex adversarial completed; Codex structured review completed (P2 only, gate PASS).
Exploratory QA
Functional surface through the repository's editor stand-in (no native editor; N55 is pt2's): 6 smoke probes per pass. Pass 1: probe 003 FAILED (a Cursor Update with no Wiki and a learner's own skill got the skill conflict instead of the no-Wiki notice) → fixed in 2055bcc. Passes 2 and 3: 6/6 PASS on current inputs (VS Code generated, a manifest without a receipt never generated, VS Code stop in the first-sign wait, Cursor stop, Cursor 55-minute bound, the fixed Cursor no-Wiki Update). Not run: Show LLM Wiki Output (the stand-in's channel records no show).
Design Review
Design Review (lite): native surfaces only (notifications, modal confirmation, status bar text, Command Palette titles, one sentence of the reader shell). Detector: IMPECCABLE_READY; one tiny-text hit on an unchanged line of reader-shell.html (not counted). The LLM Wiki view lands in pt2 with its image comparison.
Eval Results
No prompt-related files changed — evals skipped. (The generate request is a product string covered by unit tests; the bundled skill changed one sentence.)
Greptile Review
Greptile is not used on this repository.
Scope Drift
Scope Check: CLEAN (pt1 per O6, plus O10's AGENTS.md and restore-hook docs riding along under the owner's rule).
Plan Completion
24 pt1 items: 19 DONE, 3 CHANGED (startWikiGenerate with WikiGenerateStartDependencies instead of WikiRunDependencies; buildWikiGeneratePrompt takes one options object; the generate end lives in findGeneratedWikiProblem / wikiGenerateNotice beside classifyWikiUpdateEnd), 1 PARTIAL → closed (host tests for the start failures were added in Step 8), 1 NOT DONE → done (the CHANGELOG, written in Step 13). Acceptance edits: baseline unavailable (the plan is Issue #132, not a tracked file). Out of this PR (pt2, O6): the LLM Wiki view, the icon, the shared freshness label, N55.
Step 8.1's plan checks are AC 8's 15-check exact-HEAD gate, CI and hosted CodeRabbit: the gate's results are below; CI and CodeRabbit follow on this PR.
Documentation
Status: current. No documentation edits were needed.
Scope: committed diff from base 601f382 to HEAD plus unstaged edits (CHANGELOG.md, README.md, VERSION, extension/README.md, extension/package.json, package.test.mjs, constants.ts); no staged or new files. Docs roots AGENTS.md, CHANGELOG.md, PRODUCT_GOAL.md (read-only), README.md, extension/README.md, extension/skills/codebook/SKILL.md, docs/agents/*.
Documentation health:
AGENTS.md: current (compaction re-read rule matches the restore hook description)
CHANGELOG.md: current (0.2.45.0 entry matches VERSION; not modified by the audit)
PRODUCT_GOAL.md: current (not edited)
README.md: current (delivered-version and Cycle 0055 status sentences consistent)
extension/README.md: current (every CHANGELOG user-visible behavior has a README sentence; command titles match package.json)
extension/skills/codebook/SKILL.md: current (version 1.0.49, names Open LLM Wiki in Browser)
docs/agents/*.md: current (unaffected)
Coverage debt: none; new commands (Generate LLM Wiki, Stop LLM Wiki Run, Show LLM Wiki Output) and the rename have reference, how-to and explanation coverage in extension/README.md. No tutorial layer exists by project design. Diagram drift: none, no diagrams in the audited docs.
Test plan
The 15-check exact-HEAD gate (AGENTS.md Commands and checks, AC 8), with LANG=en_US.UTF-8 as CI uses, ran on 55ef3bce50c6 and again on each CodeRabbit fix head (f9ae85022a77, then the final head 582d6ab621d3, tree c3146b8e4da5), every check exit 0 and the tree clean before and after; the counts below are the final head's:
Required CI on 582d6ab621d3: all checks pass (the split-files job runs only after a push to main)
Hosted CodeRabbit: its first review on 55ef3bce (3 findings, fixed in f9ae850), its review on f9ae8502 (1 outside-diff finding, fixed in 582d6ab); APPROVED on the final head 582d6ab621d3; every thread resolved and every outside-diff and tool finding dispositioned in the PR comments
…first LLM Wiki through the editor agent
A generation is a run of kind `generate` inside the update's lifecycle
(Cycle 0055, O3):
- the start: the folder's path, an existing Wiki (offers Update), the
publisher's blocks, another run in the way (Generate anyway), the
confirmation (D2), the output's parent folder, Cursor's managed skill,
the blocks and other runs once more, and the marker's claim, re-checked
for a Wiki after the claim (utils/startWikiRun.ts);
- the request (utils/buildWikiGeneratePrompt.ts);
- the bound: 55 minutes in both hosts (E1, O9), read by kind wherever a
bound is read: marker expiry, reservation, unreadable marker, release
timer, last-run record, leftover admission (utils/wikiRunBoundMs.ts);
- the end: a new publication of this project with its entry page,
freshness reported but not gating (classifyWikiUpdateEnd);
- the words: a generation never says update (wikiGenerateNotice and the
chat-start, refusal and Cursor sentences, D5), and the VS Code watch's
status bar entry reads Stop watching (D4);
- the Output record: one allowlisted line per generation or update end,
the home folder as ~, never the agent's or a chat's text.
Codebook: Stop LLM Wiki Run and Codebook: Show LLM Wiki Output are new;
Open DeepWiki in Browser is renamed Open LLM Wiki in Browser (3b, id
unchanged), in the reader shell's offline note too (skill 1.0.49, a third
shell script hash). The no-Wiki notices of Open and Update offer Generate
LLM Wiki. An update in Cursor readies the managed skill first, as a
generation does. The README has the First LLM Wiki quickstart and
troubleshooting.
The local delegated review (OCR, 32 files) found no critical or high
defect; seven of its eight medium and low findings are fixed, the eighth
(silent cross-kind coalescing) is carried as #132 task 9. The Windows
job's path filter gains the two sources its marker tests now load.
AGENTS.md and the restore hook: after a compaction AGENTS.md is re-read
only when it is not in context or changed on disk (owner, 2026-10-26).
Refs #132
…unreadable published manifest names the recovery
Local CodeRabbit (pt1, 2 minor findings):
- The record shortens the home folder to ~ also when a Windows path's drive
letter or folder is written in another case than homedir() names it; the
rest of the path keeps its case.
- A generation whose publisher's receipt names a manifest that cannot be
read is no longer told as another checkout's Wiki: the owner check reads
the manifest (isWikiOwnedBy) and leaves an unreadable one to the end's
recovery request.
Refs #132
…ill only for a run that goes ahead
- A Cursor Update on a folder with no Wiki said that a learner's own `codebook` skill was in the way instead of "Codebook found no LLM Wiki" with Generate LLM Wiki, and every refused or no-op press wrote the managed skill. The skill is now readied after the start's checks and the marker claim, for an update and a generation alike; a skill conflict releases the claimed marker.
- Tests: the generation's start order, a refused start that readies no agent, a conflict after the claim, both Cursor Update cases, and the generate × conflict end the state matrix found untested.
- Coverage audit (/ship Step 7) and plan audit (Step 8) tests: the run kind through the chat-start wiring, Generate anyway on a stopped watch's reservation, a VS Code chat that cannot open, a Cursor without the agent CLI, and a project folder Codebook may not write.
Refs #132
…g the skill step starts no agent
- Pass 1 moved Cursor's managed-skill step after an update's checks but left the closing-window check before it, so a window that closed while the skill was deployed started an unattended Cursor agent. The skill step now comes first, then the closing check, as a generation already does.
- Tests: a Cursor generation and update whose window closes during the skill deployment start no agent and leave no marker; a VS Code generation whose window closes while it claims its marker sends no request and leaves no marker (the state matrix's generate × window-closing cell).
Refs #132
…way is named instead of offering a second one
- Open LLM Wiki in Browser and Update LLM Wiki on a folder whose first Wiki is being generated, in this window or another, name that generation instead of "Codebook found no LLM Wiki" with a Generate LLM Wiki button that would only be refused.
- Generate anyway, Update anyway and Generate's "Update it instead?" wait only for the start that showed them; pressed while another run of the window works, they are told at once instead of starting a second run when that one ends.
- A Generate anyway whose start throws is told as "Codebook did not start the LLM Wiki generation: …" and leaves its Output record, as the command does.
- A generation reads its publication and the Git look before it claims the marker, so the marker stands for no run only briefly.
- One wording of minutes (`describeMinutes`) for the notices, the confirmation and both requests; the cursor-agent lookup sentence comes from the lookup itself.
- Tests: the VS Code generation's 55-minute bound, a stop after the publish, a `.codebook` link out of the project, the start order, and the update test that raced its window's reservation write (it now waits for it; a forced probe failed it 3/3 before).
Refs #132
…Wiki, Git that cannot be asked and an unverified manifest are told as what they are
- Generate refuses an output folder that exists without a Wiki before it asks or starts an agent: the publisher writes a first Wiki only into a folder it makes itself (`--prepare` on an empty existing folder: "The prior Wiki has no publication record"). This is the root cause of E1-F3; the learner's files stay.
- The path is checked again after the confirmation, before the output's parent folder is made, so a link put on it meanwhile is refused.
- Where Git is missing or does not answer, the generate request asks for a revision only where Git answers, instead of the full commit hash of HEAD.
- A published manifest that cannot be read at the run's end fails the generation with the recovery request; it never ends as generated without its owner and entry-page checks.
- A stop or timeout names a Wiki as published, with Open in Browser, only for a verified publication; a manifest that appeared otherwise counts as nothing published.
- Stop LLM Wiki Run and Open LLM Wiki in Browser during a start that has not begun its run say that a run is starting.
- A control character in the output folder is escaped, so the Output record stays one line.

Walkthrough
The generation start now refuses a folder that appears after the marker claim, without leaving a marker behind when that check fails. No issue identified here prevents merging after normal checks.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to 582d6
Generation requires explicit confirmation and reuses existing execution controls. Destination checks and ownership-aware reservations reduce interference between runs. Remaining uncertainty concerns mixed-version operation and the effective file-access limits during unattended execution.
Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The intended affected assets are the opened project's source and configured Wiki destination. Repository content reaches execution capable of editing files and running commands. The launcher requests sandboxing but provides no explicit environment replacement; effective filesystem, network and credential exposure cannot be established from these launch arguments alone.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The new command preserves a user-confirmation boundary before claiming work. Generation repeats destination checks after confirmation and releases a claim when a Wiki or unowned folder appears. Marker release and reservation changes verify the exact previously written content under an exclusive change claim, protecting another window's replacement marker.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
observed — Cursor cancellation and timeout request termination and apply a hard-stop fallback before settling the process result. Stopping a VS Code watch is distinguished from stopping its chat: when publication may still occur, completion retains a generation-aware reservation. Shutdown aborts tracked execution and attempts reservation and pending-marker cleanup.
Hardening Proposals
proposed — If differently versioned editor installations sharing a Wiki destination are supported, define and validate a compatibility policy that prevents older readers from shortening generation reservations. This is a compatibility proposal, not a verified security finding.

- The reservation release timer takes its bound from wikiRunBoundMs, the source every reader of the marker uses.
- A Cursor Update refused by a learner's own skill, and an Update whose start check threw, now write their Output record, as every refused start does (a host test fails without it).
- The update test that waits for its window's reservation write asserts that the write answered; the README says "15-minute bounds".

…Wiki that appears around the claim refuses the generation
The claimed generation looks for an output folder without a Wiki once more before it readies its agent, releases the marker and refuses, so no agent works for a publish the publisher refuses. A unit test fails without it.

- publishWiki.test.mjs: the two renderer overlap tests also assert every node and label id they draw, so a missing box cannot pass as no overlap (thread PRRT_kwDOUfzkCc6wb3y3).
- wikiRunLifecycleFlow.test.ts + harness: the serialised-deploy test waits for the second skill step to begin its wait for the first (the harness counts runUnderAbortSignal calls) instead of a fixed 100 ms; removing 'await earlierStep' now fails it (mostRunningDeploys 2) (thread PRRT_kwDOUfzkCc6wb3zQ).
- README.md: Tracking and continuation names Cycle 0056 Issue #135 as the active cycle and Cycle 0055 as closed after PR #133 and #134 (outside-diff finding).
…stops or passes its bound, and releases or writes back what it claimed (#136)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: two conditional edges between stacked nodes keep readable labels (task 1)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: each Wiki run helper and sentence lives in its own utility file (task 3)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: a stop uses one verb per host, a block refusal shows no raw cause id, and the record keeps the id and its missing rows (tasks 7-10)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: a joined press says so, the Cursor skill step stops and is bounded, a failed marker release is retried and a taken-over reservation is written back (tasks 2, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: the marker-retry test waits for the retry's answer, not the file's removal (task 11)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: a storage-failure test holds its failing lstat over the save it checks (task 14)
The test refused only a save's lstat of the recording folder. A background refresh can save the run while preparation still awaits recordings.start (service.ts:3555), when record.recording is unset: that save names no folder, calls no lstat, succeeds, and leaves the study kept, so every later save skips the look (learningLibrary.ts:1179 needs !kept). Under load the stop then read history 'saved' with no errors.
Red: holding recordings.start 400 ms gives the diff + errors: [] / history: 'saved' vs 'failed' with the EACCES line. Fix: saves naming no folder are refused with the same EACCES until the test lifts the refusal.
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: the LLM Wiki view reads again once a run's marker is settled, so Waiting for chat shows without a file event (task 26)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: review fixes (OCR M1, L1–L6; CodeRabbit CR1)
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: pre-landing review fixes (pass 1)
Items: RT1 a taken-over reservation is written back as the marker it was (host, pid, window, start, kind) instead of the refused start's; RT2 a closing window ends the Cursor skill step and waits (5 s) for the refused start's cleanup before dropping reservations; D1 the Cursor skill-step Stop says "cancelled at <time>"; D2 the no-path block sentence ends "to see what is in the way."; LANE wikiRunLifecycleFlow waits for the written-back reservation (the window's reserve answer), not the window id; SM1-SM5, T1, T2, SM6 new host/unit tests for the untested cells; M1 stale startWikiRun docs; M2 leaveClaimedMarker removed; M3 typed skill-step abort reasons; M4 LONGEST_WIKI_RUN_MS pinned to the kind x host maximum; M5 one TakenOverWikiReservation type; S1 wikiStart holds attempt and kind together (no fallback); S2 leaveWikiMarkerOfRefusedStart takes the claim directly. README sentences for D1, D2 and the shutdown/write-back behaviour.
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: pre-landing review fixes (pass 2)
Items: SM-A/SM-B a closing window leaves a written-back reservation of another window's stopped watch on disk (wikiReservations entries keep replacedMarker; only the window's own reservations are dropped at close); SM-C test: close during a hung deploy; RT-A reservation entry carries replacedMarker into the next take-over (test: two refused starts keep the original owner); RT-B a start whose bound fires while it waits for an earlier hung skill step says so (Reload Window, then press again); D-A block sentence "Press Update LLM Wiki for the details and the next step."; D-B skill-step Stop ends with "Press <Generate|Update> LLM Wiki when you want to start again."; D-C VS Code record summary "stopped watching by the learner or the closing window"; T-A runUnderAbortSignal own-error test; M-A/M-B doc fixes; M-C WikiRunKind in claimWikiUpdateMarker; S-A one WIKI_RUN_KIND_WORDS table; S-B WikiReservationEntry type. README sentences for D-A, D-B, D-C, RT-B and the shutdown behaviour.
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: pre-landing review fixes (pass 3 and adversarial review)
Items: SM3-A/SM3-B a window that closed between the claim and the Cursor skill step runs no verify or deploy and leaves its marker; SM3-C/SM3-D tests (close while a second press waits; three presses, one deploy); RT3-A a taken-over reservation is written back as the owner's exact text (replacedText) so the owner's release still removes it; RT3-B a marker change that fails while the window closes is kept and retried within the grace; RT3-C Remove Managed Cursor Skill ends the skill step and waits for it, or tells the learner and removes nothing; T3-A grace-derived limit; T3-B Update twin and Stop-while-waiting tests; M3-A pin kept and documented; M3-B earlier-step sentence composed in describeWikiSkillStepEnd; M3-C WikiReservationHandoff type; M3-D wikiSkillStepEndOf; C3-A WIKI_RUN_KIND_WORDS verb; A1 a written-back reservation is never restored from memory; A2 joined notice once per attempt and a choice-carrying press gets its own sentence; A3 skill-step cancel time stamped at Stop; A4 renderer: labels stack per gap, an edge across rows labels next to its source node (tests). README sentences for A2, RT3-A/B, RT3-C and SM3.
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: a Wiki start pressed during Remove Managed Cursor Skill readies no skill and starts no agent (pass 3)
The residual race of RT3-C named by the pass-3 fixer: the removal waits only for the skill step it found running, so a Generate or Update pressed while it runs verified and deployed the skill it was taking away and started an agent. A skill step that begins while the removal is under way now ends with 'Codebook is removing the managed Cursor skill in this window; no agent was started. Press <Generate|Update> LLM Wiki again when the removal has finished, and Codebook installs its skill again.' Test 'a Generate pressed while Remove Managed Cursor Skill is under way readies no skill, starts no agent and says why' red on 6dae785 (skillCalls [remove, verify, deploy], agentRuns 1). README sentence.
* docs: Cycle 0056 pt1: the README names the diagram label placement, the marker an ended start leaves, and 0.2.47.0 as the delivered version
* chore: bump version and changelog (v0.2.47.0)
Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix: Cycle 0056 pt1: the Windows job starts when longestWikiRunMs.ts, a source its marker tests load, changes (task 3 follow-up)
Task 3 moved longestWikiRunMs into its own file, which readLiveWikiUpdateMarker (run on Windows) imports; the job's path filter and its workflowPins pin now name it. Found by the Step 16 gate's test:package (2 workflowPins failures on 3505430).
* fix: resolve CodeRabbit review findings
* fix: resolve CodeRabbit review findings (labels with one midpoint)
- render-wiki-diagrams.mjs: a label band is one midpoint (the column sum) in one gap between rows, shared by horizontal and vertical edges: two edges that cross a gap at one midpoint (CodeRabbit outside-diff finding on 5aae743, labelBandOf), a row's horizontal label under a stack in the gap above it, and two horizontal pairs of one row with one midpoint no longer draw labels over each other. Diagrams that need no stacking keep the earlier label boxes (pinned test green).
- Tests red on 5aae743: 'two edges that cross the same gap at the same midpoint stack their labels…' (label e1 × label e2), 'a horizontal label below a stack of labels in the gap above its row keeps clear of that stack' (label e2 × label e3), 'two edges of one row between different nodes with one midpoint stack their labels' (label e1 × label e2).
- README and CHANGELOG name the case.
* docs: resolve CodeRabbit review finding (README names the marker retry and the reservation that is not brought back)
Outside-diff finding of review 5658747969 on d378235: the packaged README's Stopping-it paragraph now says that a reservation already gone from disk when a refused start ends is never brought back, and that a marker a start cannot remove at once is removed on a retry instead of standing until its bound, as the 0.2.47.0 CHANGELOG entry names.

Refs #132 (Cycle 0055, a feature cycle: first of its two pull requests, per Owner decision O6). The second pull request (
codex/cycle-0055-pt2) adds the LLM Wiki view in the Activity Bar, thecodebookLearningicon and the native trial N55.Summary
Generate a project's first LLM Wiki from Codebook (proposed change 2, 3, 3b).
codebook.generateDeepWiki): a run of kindgenerateinside the existing update lifecycle (O3), not a second pipeline. VS Code hands a generate request (buildWikiGeneratePrompt) to a new Copilot Chat session; Cursor runscursor-agentwith it. 55-minute bound (WIKI_GENERATE_TIMEOUT_MS, O9 from E1's 34 min 33 s).utils/startWikiRun.ts): path check, existing Wiki (offers Update, never overwrites), publisher blocks, an existing folder without a Wiki (refused before any agent: the publisher writes a first Wiki only into a folder it makes; E1-F3's root cause), other runs, the modal confirmation (D2, with E1-F2's wording), the path again, the output's parent folder, the publication and Git reads, the blocks and other runs again, the marker claim (runKind: 'generate'), a last look for a Wiki, and only then the managed Cursor skill (Eng 73), for a generation and an update alike.utils/wikiRunBoundMs.ts): the marker's expiry and reservation, the unreadable-marker grace (now the longest run, 61 min 30 s), the release timer, the last-run record across a reload and the leftover admission.classifyWikiUpdateEnd): a new publication receipt, then the owner and entry-page checks (findGeneratedWikiProblem); freshness is reported (changedSourceCount), never gating. A stop names a Wiki as published only for a verified publication. Every ending has its sentence with what was left and the next step (wikiGenerateNotice).codebook.cancelWikiRun), Codebook: Show LLM Wiki Output (codebook.showWikiOutput); one allowlisted Output record per end (wikiRunRecord: no agent text, home folder as~, control characters escaped).· Stop watching(D4).extension/README.mdFirst LLM Wiki quickstart, Generate LLM Wiki section and a troubleshooting section with one anchored entry per sentence; CHANGELOG 0.2.45.0; root README status..codex/restore-product-context.mjs).Test Coverage
Step 7 audit: 21 of 21 changed code paths have a test; 18 at ★★ or better (86 %). The audit added 3 tests; Step 8 and the review rounds added the rest (each with a
Value:line naming protects / fails_when / no_claim)./shipQA probes cover them; the VS Code bound has a host test).extension.testrejections (now provoked by a missing entry page), the 61 min 30 s grace, the reader CSP hash and skill 1.0.49 (product changes);startWikiRun's order test (the review fixes moved the skill step after the claim and the reads before it);findGeneratedWikiProblem's unreadable case (now the recovery sentence);wikiUpdateFlow"a marker file another window is writing refuses an Update …" now waits for its window's reservation write before it overwrites the marker (a load-dependent race; a forced probe holding that write failed it 3/3 with the lane's exact sentence; assertions unchanged).Pre-Landing Review
/shipStep 9 ran three fixing cycles and did not converge (converged:false, the cap). Under the owner's rule (2026-10-23), every finding of the last round (Step 9 pass 3 and Step 11) was fixed, Minor and below included; no Critical or Major defect stays open, so none is recorded as a next-cycle Issue. The informational findings passes 1–2 answered Skip (feature-cycle rule) are #132 tasks 10–20.Gate edits: partial (50 of 53 eligible read); the 2 RH-16 hunks (exception handling in
extension.ts: a closed Output channel; the Cursor skill's verify → deploy) are justified — no gate finding.Outside review: Codex adversarial completed; Codex structured review completed (P2 only, gate PASS).
Not run: Show LLM Wiki Output (the stand-in's channel records no
show).Design Review
Design Review (lite): native surfaces only (notifications, modal confirmation, status bar text, Command Palette titles, one sentence of the reader shell). Detector: IMPECCABLE_READY; one
tiny-texthit on an unchanged line ofreader-shell.html(not counted). The LLM Wiki view lands in pt2 with its image comparison.Eval Results
24 pt1 items: 19 DONE, 3 CHANGED (
startWikiGeneratewithWikiGenerateStartDependenciesinstead ofWikiRunDependencies;buildWikiGeneratePrompttakes one options object; the generate end lives infindGeneratedWikiProblem/wikiGenerateNoticebesideclassifyWikiUpdateEnd), 1 PARTIAL → closed (host tests for the start failures were added in Step 8), 1 NOT DONE → done (the CHANGELOG, written in Step 13). Acceptance edits: baseline unavailable (the plan is Issue #132, not a tracked file). Out of this PR (pt2, O6): the LLM Wiki view, the icon, the shared freshness label, N55.Issues

Verification Results
Step 8.1's plan checks are AC 8's 15-check exact-HEAD gate, CI and hosted CodeRabbit: the gate's results are below; CI and CodeRabbit follow on this PR.
Documentation
Status: current. No documentation edits were needed.
Scope: committed diff from base 601f382 to HEAD plus unstaged edits (CHANGELOG.md, README.md, VERSION, extension/README.md, extension/package.json, package.test.mjs, constants.ts); no staged or new files. Docs roots AGENTS.md, CHANGELOG.md, PRODUCT_GOAL.md (read-only), README.md, extension/README.md, extension/skills/codebook/SKILL.md, docs/agents/*.
Documentation health:
Coverage debt: none; new commands (Generate LLM Wiki, Stop LLM Wiki Run, Show LLM Wiki Output) and the rename have reference, how-to and explanation coverage in extension/README.md. No tutorial layer exists by project design. Diagram drift: none, no diagrams in the audited docs.
