Redesign: home page #31

Description

@meaningfool

Part of the redesign build (parent issue linked in the sidebar). Targets the redesign branch. Needs the foundations and the background and map issues.

Intro

Two columns: the text at 500px, the map from 480px to 636px wide. The map spills 84px above and below the text without making the intro taller. Below 1120px wide, the map goes under the text, up to 560px wide.

  • Small line: "Josselin Perrus · Product manager · Paris"
  • Title: "I build products / with AI agents." (the full stop in the accent colour)
  • Text: "I'm a product manager building AI products with AI. My projects are an opportunity to test ideas and learn in public."
  • A button "About me →" to /about/, then LinkedIn, GitHub and X. No RSS link.

Projects

Tiles, newest first, each with a screenshot on a grey panel, a type and date line, a title with ↗ and one sentence:

  • Voice Todos · App · May 2026 · "Talk, and your todo list builds itself as you speak."
  • Agent SDKs for the Rest of Us · Report · Feb 2026 · "A visual guide to agent frameworks for people who build products."
  • Data Lineage · App · Dec 2025 · "CSV files in, an interactive lineage graph out."

Writing

  • Articles only, newest first. One row each: date, title, project, reading time. On phones: title and reading time.
  • A single line under the "Writing" heading: the first row's top line sits on it.
  • On the right of the heading, "18 articles". When a topic is picked, for example: "Product · 10 of 18 · Show all".
  • Activity logs leave the home. Their pages keep their URLs, unlisted.
  • Topic filter: an article belongs to a topic when that topic makes up 30% or more of it. Store this as a topics field in each article's frontmatter in meaningfool-writing, starting from the prototype's reading of the 18 articles.

Page

A <title> and meta description that name the site and say what it is.

The home is in draft PR #40, which targets redesign.

    Where the topics are:

    • In meaningfool-writing: draft PR Give each article its topics in the frontmatter meaningfool-writing#6 adds a topics field to the frontmatter of all 18 articles, for example topics: ["product", "ai-agents"], and documents it in that repository's AGENTS.md.
      • The values come from the prototype's weights (maps.js): each topic at 30% or more. That gives 2 articles in Customer success, 10 in Product and 12 in AI agents.
      • It is not merged. Merging it deploys the live site, but the live code ignores the field, so nothing on the live pages changes.
    • In this repository, for now: the site builds meaningfool-writing's main, so Redesign: home page #40 also keeps the same topics in src/data/topics.ts.
