Release branch for the analytics + video release. Same content as #91 (kept open), moved to the release branch name used in every repo.

Do not merge on its own. Merge with the app release PRs from release/analytics-video (OGAD, desktop-pro, shared, OGAM, mobile-pro). Order: shared → Pro → apps → website/brand.

What changes

  • Privacy policy: new section 4, "Optional product analytics and crash reports": off by default, separate opt-in, PostHog Cloud EU (Frankfurt) as processor, what we collect and never collect, random anonymous ID reset on opt-out, IP not stored, consent as legal basis, 12-month retention, rights note. Later sections renumbered. Last updated 23 October 2026.
  • Terms: optional diagnostics point to the Privacy Policy; new feedback clause.
  • Product pages (mission, mobile and desktop FAQs, vision, recorder, home fine print), 8 essays (an open "we changed our mind" passage, not a quiet edit), 52 articles, guides, llms.txt: "no telemetry" becomes "your chats and files never leave your device; anonymous usage data and crash reports only if you turn them on".
  • _includes/pages and assets/preview are regenerated by npm run build:preview, not hand-edited.

Needs a lawyer before merge

Naming PostHog as processor and the DPA, the "cannot find or delete one person's events" line, consent wording, 12-month retention, the new feedback clause.

Video Studio (Pro), added 26 October 2026

  • Privacy policy: new section 5, "Video Studio (Off Grid AI Pro)": character photos never leave your devices (only your own devices, through encrypted sync); prompts and films stay local; the on-device safety check (minors, real people without consent; not logged, not sent); the AI-generated label on every export (C2PA + metadata, EU AI Act Art. 50); films stay watchable after Pro ends; what optional analytics counts for video. Later sections renumbered. Last updated 26 October 2026.
  • Terms: acceptable use: no real person without their agreement, no minors, no impersonation or deception; do not remove or change the AI label so people think a film is real; you are responsible for consent. Last updated 26 October 2026.
  • Site: Video Studio added to the Pro page (new "Video" tab), the mobile page (Pro explorer, FAQ "Can my phone make videos?", Free vs Pro) and the desktop page (Pro explorer, FAQ "Does video need the internet?", Free vs Pro). The site has no app screens of video yet, so a composed scene (VideoScene) stands in; swap in real screens when the app ships. llms.txt updated. Pages regenerated with npm run build:preview. Checked in a browser at 1400px and 375px.

Needs a lawyer before merge (video)

  • Likeness and consent wording: privacy section 5 "Safety check" and the new Terms bullets. The check is light; the policy says it "is designed to" block and "cannot catch everything".
  • The AI-label statement "as the EU AI Act (Article 50) requires": confirm the provider vs deployer duty and the wording.
  • "Character photos never leave your devices" depends on sync being end-to-end encrypted with no server copy.

Needs a product check before merge

  • Mobile FAQ says "Your phone makes short clips on its own." On the test phones the memory guard refused the default Wan 2.1 clip (Run anyway worked). If that still holds at ship, change the FAQ.

Store listings (OGAM owns these; copy them in)

App Store, What's New

Video Studio, in Off Grid AI Pro. Type one sentence and your local AI writes the storyboard, then makes the film. Animate a photo. Save a character and keep them in every shot. Add narration and captions. Get a quick draft now and the final film tonight. Make it on your phone, or let your phone use your own computer for the heavy work. Every film carries an AI-generated label. Your character photos never leave your devices.

Google Play, What's new (under 500 characters)

New in Pro: Video Studio. One sentence becomes a storyboard, then a short film. Animate a photo, keep your character in every shot, add narration and captions. Portrait, Landscape or Square. Make it on your phone or with your own computer. Every film is labelled as AI-generated. Character photos stay on your devices.

Description line (both stores, in the Pro list)

VIDEO STUDIO (PRO): Turn one sentence or one photo into a short film, made on your phone or your own computer. Keep the same character in every shot. Every film carries an AI-generated label, and your character photos never leave your devices.

… your devices, consent rules and the AI label on every film
…h the video scenes and the reviews; built pages regenerated from the merged sources
… ladder and the offer, with lifetime and monthly as the only plans
Every exported film carries an AI label in its file metadata; a C2PA content
credential is added only where the app can produce one, so the policy no longer
promises a credential on every film. It states what we do without claiming a
legal outcome, and points to the Terms of Service, which forbid removing the label.
…sing more than is true

An IP address has to reach the analytics provider for a request to arrive at all.
The policy now says so: the provider discards it on arrival, it is never saved
with your events, and it is not used to work out your location. It also notes that
network providers along the way can still see it, as with any connection.
…address the same way as the analytics section
…static prices and on-page checkout, with the branch's Video Studio

Conflicts were all the Pro price ladder and pricing, where main holds the newer version of the same work (re-landed
on 29 Oct, then given explicit cohort seats, animated checkpoints and no live count) and today's checkout changes
(static prices, the form in the card, three-dot buttons). main's side was taken block by block, so the branch's own
changes in those files stay; the icon import keeps both sides (FilmStrip for Video Studio, ArrowLeft for Back).
Generated pages were rebuilt from the merged sources rather than hand-merged.

Two tests in test/pro_pricing_test.js still describe the old price and customer-count fetch that main removed today;
they fail here as they do on main, and are fixed there, not in this merge.
…s href and placement, .cjs test files, current cover, price, beta and retired launch banner
